Track: Construction Management
Abstract
Every construction project involves several risks. These risks must be identified, assessed, and controlled by the project team. Typically, the risk management process does not consider a systematic analysis of the project stakeholders, and how this analysis might assist on better managing the risks. In this paper, a preliminary investigation of the relationship between stakeholder analysis and risk management is introduced. The purposes of the investigation are to emphasize on the importance of stakeholder analysis for project management, specifically risk management, and to identify the future areas of research for stakeholder analysis and risk management that can benefit the scholars and practitioners in the construction industry.
