Abstract

Recently the world has beginning to take advantage of using social media to solve health problems which have worsened over the past few years. note that the Obesity problem considered as one of the great a global health issues, from critical literature review noticeable that in spite of widespread of usage that   among the population of developing countries such as Sudan but uses of this technology interventions to mitigate negative health habits is still in its initial stage. also, there is lack of theoretical models which lead to intention to uses social media such as Facebook to address that problem. the current study aims to propose a model for Facebook as the most popular platform in Sudan to mitigate the problem of obesity by dieting.  and to investigate essential factors lead to intention to use Facebook for diet among middle age Sudanese’s females. where are considered the most affected by obesity as well as using of Facebook are desirable to those societies. The proposed model is formed by hybridizing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Health Beliefs Model (HBM). through framework includes factors that predict preventive health behaviors from the (HBM) which are Perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, and Perceived Threat. and factors of (TPB) Attitudes, perceived behavioral control and subjective norms. this   research in progress paper which extended to add to the body of knowledge in heath information by future research expected to the empirical investigation to this proposed model by using smart PLS3 for further analysis.
