A three unit series parallel system is considered. How the introduction realistic assumptin in the model complicates the behaviour of the system leading to the identification of its underlying behaviour as a Renewal process, Semi-Markov process and a Regenerative stochastic process is explained. Various measures of system performance have been obtained.
