The Employee’s Performance of Production Division in A Textile Firm in Indonesia

This study aims to describe the effect of work motivation, competence, and job satisfaction partially and simultaneously on the performance of employees of the PT Semesta Alam*) in the production division. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that is quantified. The population of this study is 400 respondents, and the sample of 200 respondents, taken from the population. SEM (Structural Equational Modeling) in Lisrel 9.1 students is used for data analysis. The results indicate that, first, there is an effect of work motivation on job satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.34. Second, we find that there is an influence of employee competence on job satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.35. Third, there is an effect of work motivation on employee performance with a coefficient of 0.09. Fourth, there is an influence of employee competence on employee performance with a coefficient of 0.26. Subsequently, fifth, there is an influence of job satisfaction on employee performance with a coefficient of 0.53. Besides, work motivation and employee competency can explain job satisfaction with a determination value of 0.28. Finally, work motivation, employee competence, and job satisfaction can explain employee performance with a determination value of 0.45.
