Track: Supply Chain and Logisitcs Competition
Abstract
In the contemporary security environment, efficient and secure military supply chains are critical for national defense. This paper explores the integration of the Philippine Army Requisition and Delivery System into the supply chain management processes of the Philippine Army and intention of the user to adapt the technology, aiming to enhance efficiency, accountability, and security. By leveraging advanced technology and data-driven methodologies, the system offers a streamlined approach to requisitioning and delivering military supplies. This study assesses the current supply chain framework, identifies existing challenges, and proposes the incorporation of proposed system to address these issues. Key benefits include real-time tracking, improved resource allocation, and reduced redundancy. The system evaluation showed positive feedback across four key criteria. System Usability and System Ease of Use both received high mean scores of 4.40, indicating users found the system very usable and easy to navigate, though with some variability (scores ranged from 3.00 to 5.00). System Adaptability and Intention to Use had slightly lower mean scores of 4.30, with scores also ranging from 3.00 to 5.00, reflecting high adaptability and intent with moderate variability. The correlation matrix revealed strong positive correlations between System Ease of Use and System Adaptability, suggesting users who found the system easy to use also saw it as adaptable. Moderate positive correlations were noted between System Usability and both System Ease of Use and System Adaptability, indicating that perceptions of usability influenced views on ease of use and adaptability. Overall, these results highlight a generally positive user experience with interconnected criteria affecting the system's usability and adaptability.
The implementation of the system is projected to significantly bolster operational readiness and response capabilities of the Philippine Army, ensuring a robust and resilient defense infrastructure. This integration represents a pivotal step toward modernizing military logistics and fortifying national defense.
