Abstract

The traditional Bag-Valve-Mask is an essential tool for manual ventilation in urgent and critical care situations, requiring operation by trained healthcare practitioners. Our project, AUTOBVM, seeks to revolutionize this process by introducing automation to eliminate human error and liberate healthcare professionals to focus on additional patient care needs. Our objective is to engineer a device that delivers patient-specific breaths per minute (BPM) with consistent and accurate ventilation. We are committed to achieving a balance between innovation and cost-effectiveness, ensuring our device meets the precise specifications required for modern medical practice. By embracing a forward-thinking approach to modernization, patient care, automation, and efficiency, our project aims to meet the evolving demands of healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.
