Abstract
In the face of urgent global challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation, the pursuit of sustainable solutions is paramount. Within the dynamic landscape of Industry 4.0, the research provides a comprehensive exploration of integrating sensors and actuators in IoT systems within the mechatronics domain. Employing qualitative and quantitative approaches alongside Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA) and multiple case studies, the interdisciplinary investigation contributes to emerging trends and implications for sustainable manufacturing. The study corroborates a paradigm shift, positioning mechatronics, augmented by IoT-enabled sensors and actuators, as a transformative force in sustainable manufacturing, where sustainability becomes intrinsic to tomorrow's industries.
