Abstract
This research aims to present a base literature exploration study on the existing relationship between the development of deep learning-based assembly assistance systems to promote quality assurance and quality control in industrial assembly lines. The usage of artificial intelligence in industry has become more common with the advance of Industry 4.0. Understanding that quality assurance is a difficult term to describe and evaluate in industrial contexts due to the difficulty of measurement methods and their limitations, an artificial intelligence approach may lead to total quality control within an assembly process by checking every step and every product assembled within a process. This study aims to understand how to develop an augmented intelligence-based assembly assistance system to guarantee the quality of a product during the assembly process.
