Abstract
This study aims to use statistical analysis along with Design of Experiments (DOE) concepts to investigate and analyze the effect of welding process parameters on the tensile strength of A36-grade mild steel. Three process parameters and two corresponding levels are considered and the MIG welding process is performed. The ideal conditions to achieve the highest strength are determined and the results are obtained from running the design on Minitab. The paper concludes with a reasonable interpretation of the test results and justifies the research objectives that were posed.
