Abstract
It has been well established by a plethora of experimental and empirical studies that human decision makers deviate from the newsvendor optimal order quantity. In this study we try to predict newsvendor behavior through an out-of-experiment personality inventory, namely Hexaco-100. This survey measures personality of the subjects in 6 dimensions which are honest-humility, emotionality, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience. We study the correlation between the experiment performance and the aforementioned personality traits.
