Abstract

Study of Pseudo-elastic effect and SEM EDS Analysis of CuMn13al7 alloy

                    Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are materials that can be deformed at a certain temperature, but regain their unique shape when heated or cooled can produce shape memory. Strains up to about 10% can be fully regenerated. Alloys that show this effect only when heated are said to have "one-way shape memory". Because research on Ni-based shape memory alloys is almost exhausted, it is important to study the properties of other types of SMA, because Cu-based SMAs can be produced very easily by induction melting and are inexpensive and have excellent properties and mechanical stability. The addition of Manganese in Cu based shape memory alloys leads to high working temperature conditions for shape memory alloy. This study focuses on SEM EDS and microstructure analysis using SEM analysis, DMA analysis of Pseudo-elastic effect of CuMn13Al7 SMA.
